During our Kumbakonam Temple Visits, We were really fed off with the foods in various hotels in and around Kumbakonam Bus Stand. Finally, we got guidance from the local person to have good dinner at  Sivamurugan Hotels (Woodlands Restaurant).


Woodlands Restaurant is popularly known as Shiva Murugan Hotels. It has both lodging and Restaurant Facility. It is a High Class Pure Vegetarian AC Restaurant. It is just far away from the Bus Stand.

If you want to feed some good foods to your stomach during your Kumbakonam Visit, Shiva Murugan Hotels is the Right choice. You will have good food in peaceful surrounding.

  4. Vaitheeswaran Kovil - Lord of Mars (Sevvai Sthalam)
  5. Chidambaram Natarajar Temple - Aagaya Lingam (One of the Pancha Bootha Sthalangal)
The Travel starts from Thirunallar

Thirunallar to Keezhaperumpallam:
  • Get Bus or Share Auto  from Thirunallar to Karaikal.
  • From Karaikal, Get Chidambaram Bus. 
  • Get Down at The Place called 'Karuvi'.
  • From Karuvi, Get Bus or Share Van to Poombuhar. (Every 15-20 mins available. Fare is Rs. 10)
  • Get Down at the Place 'Dharmakulam'.
  • From There, Get Auto to Reach Keezhapperumpallam.
Keezhaperumpallam to Thiruvenkadu:
  • Budhan Sthalam is located 5 KMs away from Dharmakulam. 
  • Get Auto from Keezhaperumpallam to Dharmakulam.
  • Get Sirkazhi bus from Dharmakulam.
  • Get Down at Thiruvenkadu. (Bus Drops Exactly at the Temple Entrance).
Note: Budhan Sthalam is a little big Temple. It may take 30-40 minutes to see all deities in the temple. So plan accordingly.

Thiruvenkadu to Vaitheeswaran Kovil
  • Get Sirkazhi Bus from Thiruvenkadu.
  • Get Down at Sirkazhi.
  • Get Kumbakonam Bus to reach Vaitheeswaran Koil.
  • Vaitheeswaran Kovil is just 6 Kms far away from Sirkazhi.
  • Get Down at Vaitheeswaran Koil Temple Entrance.
Note: In Saturday's and Sundays temple remains open still 2.00 PM.
